Thai officials say Burma has not been forthcoming about political developments in the nation.
Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said he was "uncomfortable" that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-ASEAN has not been kept up to date on the situation in Burma.
Thai officials cited, among other things, Burma's recent decision to relocate its capital from Rangoon to the city of Pyinmana.
At its recent meeting, ASEAN made an unprecedented united call for Burma to speed its long stalled political and human rights reforms.
Earlier this week, Thai Foreign Minister Kanthathi Suphamongkhon said an ASEAN delegation is now in talks with Burmese authorities about a planned trip to evaluate the government's progress on human rights and democratic reforms.
