Indonesia President Visits Brunei, Cambodia and Burma

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has left the country on a four-day trip to meet with leaders in Brunei, Cambodia and Burma.

Indonesia's state-owned news service says the president left Jakarta today-Monday for Brunei. He is scheduled to meet with the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, and attend a state banquet.

Mr. Yudhoyono is to fly to Cambodia Tuesday and meet with King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Hun Sen and other political leaders.

President Yudhoyono plans to be in Burma Wednesday where he is expected to discuss the junta's plan to restore democracy with the country's leader, General Than Shwe. A spokesman for the president says there is no plan for a meeting with
detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
