Malaysia Considers Bill to Monitor Foreign Workers

Home Minister Radzi Sheikh Ahmad said Sunday that the bill requires employers to provide accommodations at the workplace, and have systems to ensure that the workers "do not go astray."

Radzi told reporters that there would be some sort of procedure to allow the workers to leave their work premises.

On Saturday, Malaysia's police chief suggested that foreign workers be put under 24-hour surveillance to prevent crime.
