The Committee Representing People's Parliament has been expanded as of Thursday, October 24th, and new members include leaders of ethnic political parties that won the 1990 election. Representatives from those parties and individuals were invited to join subject to their approval of CRPP's policy.
In an interview with VOA, the President of the Shan National League for Democracy, U Khun Tun Oo, said that during CRPP's meeting held at NLD headquarters the executive committee members of the National League for Democracy and representatives from Shan, Mon, Arakanese and Zomie parties discussed about the possible expansion of CRPP, which now has 14 members. U Khun Tun Oo said they all agreed to continue recognizing U Aye Thar Aung as Secretary of CRPP. However, they did not discuss the group's future political plans.
