Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has ended a one-day visit to Burma.
Friday, Mr. Abdullah met Prime Minister Gen. Khin Nyunt and Senior General Than Shwe. He departed Rangoon on an evening flight.
Mr. Abdullah's visit was the last leg of an introductory tour of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, a tradition for newly installed regional leaders.
The visits were largely courtesy calls, but most leaders also took the opportunity to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
Mr. Abdullah took over from Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on October 31st.
