Burmese Labor Minister Tin Win is on his way to New York to attend the annual United Nations General Assembly.
Burma says Mr. Tin Win, who is leading Burma's delegation at the U.N. conference, left for New York Tuesday.
It is not clear if Burma's new foreign minister, Major General Nyan Win, is accompanying Mr. Tin Win. Sources close to Burma's military government said Tuesday that the new foreign minister was expected to attend the U.N. General Assembly.
