Chinese energy giant China National Offshore Oil says it has reached an oil exploration and sharing agreement with Burma's state-run oil company.
A CNOOC spokesman announced the deal with Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise today (Tuesday). It is not clear what areas will be explored for oil deposits, and the spokesman did not say whether CNOOC is considering similar deals with other countries in the region.
