Burma has signed two contracts with a China-Singapore consortium to cooperate in offshore oil and natural gas exploration.
Officials say under the contracts, Burma and the consortium will look for oil and natural gas in two areas off the Burmese coast.
The two sides signed a similar contract in October to explore another block off Burma for oil and natural gas.
Burma says it has more than two trillion cubic meters of gas reserves and more than three billion barrels of recoverable crude oil reserve in its onshore and offshore fields.
