A U.S. District Court judge has denied another emergency request from the parents of a brain-damaged Florida woman to reconnect their daughter's feeding tube.
Terri Schiavo's parents can appeal the decision to a higher court, but courts have rejected similar appeals in recent days.
On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to intervene in the Schiavo case, while another judge rejected Florida Governor Jeb Bush's appeal for the state to take the 41-year-old woman into protective custody.
Mrs. Schiavo's feeding tube was removed last Friday, and her health continues to decline as the legal battles rage between her parents and her husband, Michael. He has said his wife told him she would not want to be kept alive artificially.
