Officials in Egypt say an American citizen has died from wounds suffered in a bomb attack at a Cairo shopping bazaar, raising the death toll from the attack to three, including the bomber.
Authorities say the latest victim died early Friday. A French woman tourist was also killed in Thursday's blast, thought to have been triggered by an unidentified Egyptian man.
At least 18 other people were wounded, including Egyptians, Turks, Americans, Britons, Italians and French citizens.
The motive for the attack was not immediately known. Several tourist bazaars are located in the area, which is near Cairo's prestigious al-Azhar University and mosque.
In the 1990's Islamic militants carried out several attacks on foreign tourists visiting Egypt as part of their campaign to bring down the government.
