Asian stock markets closed mostly lower Tuesday.
Tokyo's Nikkei index lost 75 points to close at 11,670. On Monday the index lost 129 points.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index lost two points to end at 13,658. The Hang Seng lost seven points on Monday.
In the region's other big market, Singapore, the Straits Times index fell eight points to close at 2,174.
Elsewhere, share prices were higher in Bangkok, Bombay, Jakarta, Manila, Sydney and Taipei. Markets were lower in Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Wellington.
In late afternoon Tokyo currency trading, the dollar was selling at 107.76 yen, down .34 yen from the same time Monday.
In Hong Kong the price of gold rose one dollar to close at $429.15 an ounce.
