Asian stock markets closed mostly lower today -Tuesday.
Tokyo's Nikkei index lost 12 points to finish at 11,159. The market lost 21 points on Monday.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index lost 67 points to end at 14,018. On Monday the Hang Seng rose 51 points.
In the region's other big market, Singapore, the Straits Times index gained less than a point to close at 2,166.
Elsewhere, share prices were higher in Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Wellington. Markets were lower in Bangkok, Bombay, Jakarta, Manila, Seoul, Sydney and Taipei.
In late afternoon Tokyo currency trading, the dollar was selling at 105.84 yen, up half a yen from the same time Monday.
In Hong Kong, the price of gold rose one dollar, 60 cents to close at 426 dollars, 85 cents an ounce.
