The Burmese government has denied media reports that former Prime Minister Khin Nyunt has been moved from house arrest to prison.
The reports say that the prime minister, who has been accused of corruption and insubordination by the government, was taken to Insein prison in Burma's capital, Yangon.
Khin Nyunt, who also headed Burma's military intelligence, was removed from power last October. Dozens of former intelligence officials under him have been sentenced to prison.
