U.S. stocks indicators opened higher in today's-Tuesday's trading.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 55 points to 10,345. The S&P 500 was six points higher at 1,197. And the NASDAQ was up 13 at 2,058.
In mid-day European trading, London's Financial Times index was up 30 points at 5,074. The CAC-40 in Paris was 26 points higher at 4,183, and the DAX index in Frankfurt was up 29 points at 4,553.
Tokyo's Nikkei index gained 100 points to finish at 11,514. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index closed at 14,287, up 111 points.
The price of gold in London is 438 dollars, 60 cents an ounce, down three dollars, 10 cents.
The dollar in London is mixed against the other major currencies.
