European share prices are up in midday trading Monday.
London's Financial Times index rose nine points to 5,291. The CAC-40 in Paris is eight points higher at 4,459, and the DAX index in Frankfurt is up 17 points at 4,903.
The S&P futures contract has risen three points to 1,240.
Tokyo's Nikkei index gained 47 points to finish at 11,947.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 98 points to end the day at 14,979.
The price of gold in London is $431.35 an ounce, up $2.5 cents from Friday.
The dollar in London is lower against other major currencies.
