Burma's government says the price of a lottery ticket is set to double.
The government-run Myanmar Ahlin reported Thursday the game's top prize will also increase by about two thirds.
The highest jackpot will grow from 25,000 dollars/30 million kyat to 41,000 dollars/50 million kyat.
Tickets which had been selling for about four cents/50 kyat each will now go for eight cents/100 kyat.
Lottery shops in Burma often sell tickets at more than their retail price because of high demand.
The government hopes the increased jackpot will lure more players away from popular underground lotteries.
