Burmese authorities have assured their counterparts in India that Burma will not tolerate the use of its territory by Indian rebel groups.
That pledge came Monday at the end of a series of meetings in Rangoon between Indian home secretary V.K. Duggal and Burma's deputy minister for home affairs, General Phone Swe.
The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in controlling the activities of insurgents, arms smugglers and drug traffickers along the India-Burma border.
