Saudi Arabia says its security forces have arrested one of the kingdom's most-wanted terror suspects, after two shootouts Tuesday in which five policemen were killed.
The Interior Ministry says the suspect -- identified as Mohammed bin Abdel-Rahman al-Suwailmi -- shot dead two policemen from his car in Qassim province.
Authorities say the suspect later opened fire on a nearby security checkpoint, killing three more police officers before he was arrested.
Last September, Saudi authorities said police killed Mr. al-Suwailmi along with four other suspected militants in a shootout.
But the 23-year-old suspect -- a reputed Internet expert -- later released an audio tape saying he was still alive.
The kingdom launched a massive crackdown on Islamic militants in 2003, following a series of deadly attacks on foreigners and oil facilities in the kingdom.
