Burma's military government has dismissed two ministers and appointed four others in a cabinet shuffle.
The changes were announced by state television Monday. Officials say Culture Minister Major General Kyi Aung and Minister for Social Welfare and Resettlement Major General Sein Htwa were "permitted to retire," a term often used by the military when members are dismissed.
New appointments were made to fill several posts including hotels and tourism minister and minister of culture.
The announcement comes on the first day of the State Peace and Development Council's quarterly meeting in Naypyidaw City, the country's new administrative capital.
