China has agreed to provide a special low interest loan to Burma.
Burmese and Chinese bank officials signed the agreement Friday at a ceremony in Rangoon. A Chinese embassy official told the Associated Press that the loan was for 200 million dollars.
Burma's intended use of the money was not announced.
China has continued to support Burma with economic and other assistance -- despite international concern about the human rights record of Burma's military government.
