A Norwegian human rights group has announced the publication of a book detailing the struggle for democracy in Burma.
The Norwegian Burma Committee, along with other humanitarian groups Tuesday formally released the book "Prisoners in Our Own Country."
In a statement, the group describes the book as the first to describe the relationship between Norway and Burma and ongoing efforts to foster democracy and human rights in Burma.
The group says two detained Burmese pro-democracy champions - opposition leader and Nobel Prize winner Aun Sung Su Kyi and student leader Min No Naing - provided inspiration for the book.
The Norwegian Burma Committee says the book features photographs taken in Burma and border areas near Thailand depicting the life of an oppressed people.
