Burma's detained pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been reported in good health after she received a visit from her doctor and a dentist.
A source close to her family said Monday that Aung San Suu Kyi's doctor performed a routine checkup last week.
She has been held under house arrest for about ten of the past 17 years. She is generally not allowed outside and her doctor is one of her only connections to the outside world.
In November, United Nations Under Secretary Ibrahim Gambari told reporters Burmese leaders should allow Aung San Suu Kyi's doctor to see her more regularly.
