Kyaemoun U Thaung recalls his short story of Tawagu Hma Gita, which hit Burmese Theatres, music and movies in the 60s and early 70s. He wrote this short story during World War Two while he was hiding in a cave called "Tawagu" in an ancient city of Bagan.
Burmese popular singers and actors adapted this short story into movies and music. Burmese radio singer Tin Tin Mya's song of "A Place at Old Town in Bagan was based on U Thaung's short story of Tawagu Hma Gita.
