Bangladeshi officials say they are discussing with Burma the possibility of building a hydropower plant in that country that could export electricity to Bangladesh.
Officials say the proposal was one the main topics of discussion when a Bangladeshi delegation recently visited Burma in search of new sources of electricity.
They say three locations are being considered as potential sites for the hydroelectric plant.
Bangladeshi officials say the two countries agreed to commission a feasibility study that will look at the technical and financial viability of such a project.
