UN Envoy Razali Ismail on his ninth trip to Burma met with the NLD Central Executive Committee members at NLD Headquarters in Rangoon on Wednesday morning (November 13).
In an interview with VOA Burmese Service stringer, NLD spokesperson U Lwin said Mr. Razali seemed upbeat about his present trip to Burma. He said the UN envoy met with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on Tuesday, November 12 and has scheduled to meet with the Burmese military leader Senior General Than Shwe.
Mr. Razali later met with the members of the newly-expanded Committee For Representatives of People’s Parliament (CRPP) members at the NLD headquarters. The CRPP spokesperson U Aye Tha Aung told VOA Burmese Service that they talked about national reconciliation, freedom of activities for ethnic political parties and the economic hardship of the Burmese people.
