President Bush also emphasized to an audience in St. Louis, Missouri that Saddam Hussein continues to pose a threat to America and the world. The president says Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein is a dangerous man who will face serious consequences for refusing to disarm.
He warns there will also be consequences for any member of the Iraqi military who obeys an order to use biological or chemical weapons. He said, "My advice is do not follow that order. Because if you choose to do so, when Iraq is liberated, you will be treated, tried, and prosecuted as a war criminal."
Mr. Bush signaled his growing impatience during a speech in St. Louis, Missouri. He said it is time to hold the Iraqi leader to account.
Mr. Bush said,"Saddam Hussein is not disarming like the world has told him he must do."
Mr. Bush said the Security Council's disarmament resolution must be enforced. He made clear that he is ready to use military confrontation, if necessary, to disarm Iraq.
