The leader of Burma's ruling military government has arrived in Vietnam for a three-day official visit.
Senior General Than Shwe, accompanied by his wife, arrived today (Saturday) in Hanoi and was greeted by senior protocol officials.
The trip is being billed as a good-will tour to promote bilateral relations between the two countries.
General Than Shwe will meet with several senior Vietnamese leaders and officials to discuss issues of mutual concern.
