Burma's military government is accusing ethnic Karen rebels of sabotaging a natural gas pipeline.
A government statement Friday accused the rebels of planting explosives that damaged a section of the pipeline in southeastern Mon state. The statement said an investigation revealed that Karen rebels were responsible.
The claim could not be independently confirmed.
Officials previously accused the rebels of using explosives to damage the pipeline in Karen state March 29th.
This pipeline carries natural gas from offshore fields for use inside Burma.
