In an apparent move to jump start the 2004 presidential elections, Vice President Dick Cheney says that his health is good enough for another run on the Republican ticket.
The 62-year old has had a number of health problems with four heart attacks since 1978, a quadruple bypass surgery in 1988 and currently under a 24-hour watch by a doctor.
Mr. Cheney told the Dallas Morning News that he would step down if he ran into health problems that interfered with his job.
He has also been the subject of criticism by Democratic members of Congress in connection with conflict of interest over his past business connections. He has denied any wrongdoing.
