The United States Congress recently passed a resolution signifying the United Nations that the U.S. is unitedly behind the idea that in order to expedite reconstruction of Iraq, sanctions imposed by the international community must end.
In a videotape testimony, the outgoing coalition administrator in Iraq retired General Jay Garner said there are some serious humanitarian issues there. He cited many public service work that needs urgent attention and implementation and, above all, the need to restore security in Iraq.
