At least 30 Burmese refugees living in Bangladesh held a noisy demonstration today (Saturday), demanding the release of detained democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
The demonstrators chanted anti-government slogans and carried banners, as they demonstrated on the streets of Dhaka just hours before the arrival of Burmese Foreign Minister Win Aung.
Win Aung is set to arrive in the Bangladesh capital late in the day, carrying a letter from military leader Than Shwe for Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. There is no indication what the letter contains.
