A human rights group has called for the immediate release of 15 Burmese arrested in Thailand during a protest against Burma's military regime.
Human Rights Watch released a statement today saying the group was arrested a week ago while protesting outside Burma's embassy in the Thai capital of Bangkok.
The rights group said at least seven of the detainees have been registered as persons of concern by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
The group says the protesters had planned to call for the release of Burma's democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi and other political prisoners.
