A few older political prisoners were released in Burma this week. There are questions concerning the political prisoners such as whether this is the harbinger of a larger release, whether this is the result of UN Human Rights Rapporteur Sergio Pinheiro's effort or whether this is an unsatisfactory action of the Burmese Junta.
VOA interviews Aung Din of the AAPP (Assistance Association of Political Prisoners-Burma), who says that this is not enough and that this is only an effort of the Junta to reduce the pressure of the International Community.
