Police in southern Thailand say villagers have found the bullet-ridden bodies of six Burmese immigrants on a rubber plantation in Chumphon province.
Authorities say the men, women and children appeared to have been shot by an AK-47 assault rifle.
They say the victims had been dead at least a day before their discovery on Monday.
The victims are thought to have been working illegally on the plantation. Authorities say Thailand has attracted at least a million immigrants from neighboring Burma.
