Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has arrived in Burma for talks with the ruling military.
Mr. Abdullah is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Gen. Khin Nyunt and Senior General Than Shwe today (Friday), before departing Rangoon on an evening flight.
Mr. Abdullah's visit is the last leg of an introductory tour of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, a tradition for newly installed regional leaders.
He took over from Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on October 31st.
