China scored twice in the first half and held on to shut out Burma, 2-0, Wednesday in a football (soccer) friendly in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.
Last week, the game was reportedly canceled due to the regional bird flu outbreak, but China denied calling off the match, saying it would go ahead as planned.
China's official Xinhua news agency said the football match was scheduled as a warm-up for China's national team before its World Cup qualifier against Hong Kong.
