China and Burma have signed 21 agreements to boost economic cooperation.
The agreements were signed Wednesday during the visit by Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Wu Yi to Burma. She held talks during the day with Prime Minister Khin Nyunt in Rangoon.
Officials say the prime minister thanked China for its support in Burma's development.
Ms. Wu is joined on her trip by leaders from at least 40 Chinese companies. China is looking to boost trade with Burma in what analysts say is an attempt by Beijing to strengthen its influence in the region.
Ms. Wu is on a four-nation tour that also includes Cambodia, Laos and the Maldives.
