Burmese officials say Prime Minister Khin Nyunt will pay a working visit to neighboring Thailand on Friday.
Officials say he is scheduled to meet with Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra for talks on a range of issues, including economic cooperation.
The announcement Thursday came as Burma continues its constitutional convention despite a boycott by the country's main opposition party, the National League for Democracy.
A number of Western governments and international human rights groups have condemned the government-backed meetings as a sham.
