Rescuers in Bangladesh continue to search for scores of fishermen today (Sunday), missing after 20 boats went down in a storm Saturday in the Bay of Bengal.
So far, police say six bodies have been recovered, while at least 15 people have been rescued. A fisherman's association says at least 144 people are still missing from Saturday's storm. Rough seas have hampered rescue efforts.
Authorities say the storm, spawned by a monsoon depression in the Bay of Bengal, lashed the Cox's Bazar and neighboring Tekhnaf coastlines, causing flooding in low-lying areas.
