Officials of Burma's military government say three small bombs that exploded on a railroad overpass in Rangoon Saturday were planted by exiled dissident groups.
A military intelligence official (Brigadier General Kyaw Thein) says the evident intent was to disrupt the constitutional convention now underway.
He said four other bombs were found that did not explode. There was no one on the overpass at the time of the early morning blasts, which caused minimal damage and no injuries.
No one has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
