China is training police from Laos, Burma, Vietnam and Cambodia as part of efforts to boost security cooperation with Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Ten officers from Cambodia completed training last week run by China's Ministry of Public Security, becoming the first police from an ASEAN country to be instructed by China.
China's Xinhua news agency says police from Laos, Burma and Vietnam will undergo training in criminal investigative techniques, surveillance analyses and munitions handling by the end of August.
China and ASEAN signed a memo of understanding in January to collaborate in fighting international crime.
