Indonesian foreign ministry officials will meet with Burma's ambassador in Jakarta today (Tuesday) to discuss allegations that the Burmese government placed a listening device inside the Indonesian embassy in Rangoon.
The meeting comes one day after Indonesia's ambassador to Burma dismissed the allegation, saying he believes that Burma's military government would not do such a thing.
Indonesian officials had said a security team from Jakarta discovered the alleged bugging during an embassy inspection.
The Burmese government has denied the eavesdropping allegations, urging Indonesia to dispel what it calls "false media reports." Information for this story is provided by AFP.
