An explosion has rocked the center shopping district of the Czech Republic's capital, Prague, injuring at least 18 people, including foreign tourists.
Those hurt in the blast today (Sunday) on a pedestrian mall (Na Prikope) off Wensceslas Square included one child. None of the injuries was reported to be serious, although at least some of the injured were taken to four local hospitals for treatment.
Police said the blast was caused by a tossed hand grenade and appeared to be a criminal act, not terrorism. The Associated Press reports the police believe the target may have been a local casino owner.
The area has been cordoned off for investigation.
