Burmese Prime Minister General Khin Nyunt has met with his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen in Phnom Penh.
General Khin Nyunt described Tuesday's talks with Hun Sen as fruitful, but he did not elaborate. He also declined to answer a question on detained Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
The two prime ministers met amid a dispute over the upcoming Asia-Europe Meeting in Vietnam.
European nations are concerned about Burma's human rights record and the detention of Aung San Suu Kyi. They say they will not attend the October talks if members of Burma's military government are there.
General Khin Nyunt held talks earlier this week with the prime ministers of Vietnam and Laos.
