A senior Thai military delegation is in Burma for talks with the country's military government.
The delegation, led by Thai Army Chief General Chaisit Shinawatra, has already met with Burmese military leader General Than Shwe and other senior commanders.
Talks are expected to focus on improving relations between the two countries, as well as fighting drug smuggling along their common border. Thailand has said operations at fighting the drug smugglers are working, with drug dealers altering their routes to go through Laos.
The Thai mission comes after a similar visit to Thailand last month by a Burmese military delegation.
