Russian television has broadcast chilling home video of the Beslan school during the height of last week's hostage crisis.
Camouflaged Chechen separatists who were holding more than 1000 people shot the video. It shows women and children crowded inside the school gymnasium, with bombs and wires spread along the floor and hanging from a basketball hoop.
One terrified boy with his hands behind his head sat on the floor next to a gunman who kept his foot on a book with wires sticking out of it.
The two-day standoff ended violently last Friday when explosions ripped through the school, leading to a shootout between the gunmen and Russian forces.
More than 335 people, half of them children, were killed. Tens of thousands of people in Moscow rallied against terrorism Tuesday outside the Kremlin.
