Interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi is threatening a new military assault in Fallujah if residents do not hand over wanted terrorist mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
Mr. Allawi issued the warning Wednesday -- the same day Zarqawi's terror group (Tawhid and Jihad) claimed to have beheaded two Iraqi intelligence officials.
In other developments Wednesday, two American soldiers were killed and five wounded when a suicide bomber attacked their convoy in Mosul. And in Baghdad, another American soldier was killed when his convoy was attacked.
Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said alliance military trainers and their protection forces must be on the ground in Iraq as soon as possible this year.
