Malaysian police have arrested 11 Burmese nationals who were demonstrating in front of Burma's embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
A police spokesman says the demonstrators, who appeared to be pro-democracy activists, were arrested because gatherings of three or more people require a permit.
District police chief Mohamad Noor Masdar says the incident is still under investigation and police are investigating the protesters' immigration status.
