Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra says he is hopeful Burma will continue along its so-called "roadmap" to democracy, following the ouster of the country's prime minister.
Mr. Thaksin told reporters Wednesday that while he has no plans to pressure Burma, he will urge it to continue efforts at national reconciliation and hopes to have a constructive dialogue with Burma's military government.
Thailand has played a crucial role in promoting Burma's recent reform overtures.
