Burma's pro-democracy opposition party has condemned Tuesday's bombing of a restaurant in Rangoon.
In a statement issued today (Friday), the executive committee of the National League for Democracy called the attack a terrorist act. The statement also criticized the use of violence, saying the NLD is working for the establishment of democracy and human rights through peaceful means.
A militant student group has reportedly claimed responsibility for the bombing and warned of more attacks unless NLD leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, is freed from house arrest.
One person was reported injured in Tuesday's blast.
